Xperia z1 mic problem

I have a problem with my mic while recording a voice note on whatsapp.. My voice comes with noise makes the receiver cant hear my voice and when I open any port of the three ports my voice comes clear, so whats wrong.. I reset me phone. But the problem still here

Only thing is custom.kernel to force phone use secondary Microphone. But it needs good developer

Got the same problem with the mic on Whatsapp...

When i updated to KITKAT it first stopped and was back to normal...YIPIII... but shortly the problem was back.

I have reinstall several times the app and update de phone 2 times since that, but this phone is simply a big piece of sh*t....

Not talking about Sony's "CARE"... that just adviced me reinstall the app et reboot the phone... Thanx sony, but i came from samsung with a good thought, and less than a year later i'll be leaving you without a good advertising to my entourage...

I ended up solving this problem the mic, I downloaded the latest version of whatsapp own the site, because at playstore still has not, then the problem was solved the audio I have helped the site follows p download

people....do what this person said, go to the whatsapp.com/android and download it there..i did nt have to delete my app first or anything, I just downloaded from the site and installed. The voicenotes are now very very clear in my whatsapp.

I sounded very muffled when sending voicenotes to people in whatsapp and i could not stand it.

To fix, I followed what another used had suggested. You go to the actual website in your phones browser. www.whatsapp.com/android

Dowload it there and just install. After that mine is working great and there is no muffle-ness. I did not have to uninstall the previous app so I lost no conversations.

I have same issue, even after software updating, Lots of background noise when mobile on hands free mode. I sent it to sony for repairs, they update software and sent it back without fixing this problem. I love my smartphone, however, I can't use hands free mode without getting friends bad feedback about the noise during call. What shall I do?

I don't know if this will help. My wife and some other people I called said my voice was so muffled they couldn't understand the words. Volume and consistency of the sound seemed ok, no interferences or digital noise, just like a recording that had too much filtering applied to it. I know I regularly use hand soap to wash my phone, so I thought maybe some drying soap or water + fine dirt from my pocket was clogging my microphones openings. I just bathed the bottom of my Z1 in some clear warm water, and use a toothpick to remove what was indeed forming a layer in the second microphone hole. Rinsed with warm water and voilà, no more irritated wife!
My take is that the second microphone being clogged, it didn't pick a good enough ambient noise to be able to filter my voice properly, hence the over filtering.

I can't believe it Sony!!!! Once i had a xperia p and i had a lot of problems with it and i found nothing but to change the phone, then because of the trust that i had to sony brand i told myself let's test another new sony phone,then i bought xperia zr which is a high end phone from sony buttttt i still had initial problems with it and one of the problems was the distortion sound which recording a messages or during a voice message, then i decided to change xperia zr with a flagship phone from sony so i bought Xperia Z1, now i surprisingly see that i still have those problems with very ordinary function that you expect from a phone, a clear voice during calling and recording, now i just want to cry because sony waste my savings with problems in its phones, why do u do this sony? Do you want to lose your customers?

And what should we do? Is it hardware problem? Software? What the **bleep** is going on with the mics fro sony? I'm so disappointed and angry 😡

i was restore factory, repair with PC companion but no good.

my friends can not hear when we phone.
