Xperia z1 mic problem

I have a problem with my mic while recording a voice note on whatsapp.. My voice comes with noise makes the receiver cant hear my voice and when I open any port of the three ports my voice comes clear, so whats wrong.. I reset me phone. But the problem still here

i cannot be heard during calls, and it's really horrible for a flagship phone to have this really diffused fault!!!

can it be that the issue is related to a water damage?

maybe submerging it the microphone can get damaged???is seems to me that the common feeling is that the phone got some real problems with the water sealing

Guys dis problem is solved wen we use a earphone set or bluetooth headset. I guess while packing up the thing dey have done a bit too much of packing to save from water but unfortunately it's a vague annoying problem sony support please reply or email me removed by alexdon - no private info on the forum

I'm coming from an iphone 4 and I bought the xperia Z2, and the problem is still there. It is amazing how a phone like this can still have such micro problems. I'm really disappointed. Can you fix it, SONY ????:smileyangry:

I too have the Same problem,

1.When i send Voice messages through watsapp, its metalized, not clear at all. Am running 4.4.2Kitkat the latest update,

2.Also sometimes the camers hangs when used watsapp to capture Pics

3.The walkman app ,when playing Songs volume is very low -am using MH1c headphones live.No proper bass.

4.The other callers are not able to hear clearly when talked at a low level voice .

should i turn Off all the sound enachments , Sony please Update and Fix the isuues.

Mine Z1 .

Day One i got it .... i have this problem .... tried and tried to figure all possibilties , tested one by one , no improvements  . Same .

But if u use the Sony Stereo ear piece instead , to do whatsapp audio recording , it's work just fine .

I guess the built-in Mic ...sadly so , it is made from inferior quality .

In such cases , Sony need to learn it from Samsung .

Samsung's recording capabiltiy and sound quality , A star .

Sony so far left behind .

For those who still trying to configure your set for better performance , don't waste time . It is not going to work .

Those who try to sent in to Sony Service Centre for repair , same , don't waste time , they cannot do anything .

That was why they keep quiet in this forum all along , they have no answers for everything .

No point seriously to ask for One to One Exchange , cos all their Xperia series has got the same problem .

This has got nothing to do with whatsapp application , if application is defective , using the stereo ear piece will not work either  , but in such cases , the stereo earpiece just work fine with audio recording .

I guess Z1 could well be a Camera Phone , or walkman phone ..... not made for recording or talking phone , but made for walkman and camera .

Even talking to a friend using the Z1 can be quiet devastated , due to the lousy built in mic

I also don't think it is android version , or update issues .

It's purely hardware issues .

Lousy inferior China made microphone .
