Xperia z1 mic problem

I have a problem with my mic while recording a voice note on whatsapp.. My voice comes with noise makes the receiver cant hear my voice and when I open any port of the three ports my voice comes clear, so whats wrong.. I reset me phone. But the problem still here

Whatsapp was updated yesterday and the issue has been fixed, please download the new version.

I have tried voice messages using Samsung S4 side by side, the voice playback on S4 is much louder than what my Z1 is giving. I already updated to latest whatsapp version

Furthermore, when i called my friends. they complained that my voice is somewhat muffled n very soft

My problem went away after i updated whatsapp and tested with my brother and some friends. The voice is very clear and loud.

I just tested after repair the phone using pc companion, still the same. So much softer as compared to samsung phone. I purposely spoke very soft on a Samsung phone n very loud on my Z1, still samsung phone wins my Z1 hands down

Yeah, the microphone is absolutely orrible. everytime i start a call the other person always complains about the low quality of my voice: low volume,statics sounds, muffled voice coming and going.

i really hope this is just a software bug and not an hardware one, otherwise it will be a supreme fail for sony (plus a lost customer)

Have you looked in settings to see if microphone noise suppression is enabled?

I write with a translator, so sorry for mistakes. Xperia z1 is designed so that it has two microphones. During a call, when your hands are full and you're holding the phone shoulder (so do all) second microphone is closed and the source can not hear anything.
When you disable the noise reduce function is necessary to completely turn off the second microphone on the backside of the device. I can not normally talk on the phone when my hands are busy.Its a developments mistake. Fix this.
