media not found

Hi,

My z1 told me my memory was getting full and to transfer photos and videos to my Sd card like I've done before. But this time, in the main album every picture that was transferred has a black background with a broken white mountain thing and when I find them in the sd card file I can see the pictures but when I click on them it says 'media not found ' I am going to throw it out the window if I can't get the pictures back as they are all of my newborn baby that I can't get back I hate technology!
Any help would be really appreciated

Can you see the files with file commander?

I can see them using file commander but they still won't open

Strange,something is blocking your files from being indexed and shown in media apps.

I see them in the album now but they are showing as a mountain...

And it's not every photo...just the majority

That means they are not indexed.Strange thing there.So in safe mode no change?

Nope no change...same with videos too

You can try the procedure again with media storage or you can go for a software repair:
