This is not the solution though is it SONY?

The silence from Sony is deafening & disgusting - it seems that Sony are going to offer the same support to this tablet as they did their last - which they dropped like a hot potato.

Mine is going back for a refund as it is not fit for purpose & I would suggest more people did the same just to try & show Sony that customer concerns should be addressed.

Well, Sony is selling their VAIO PC business and also closing 20 of their 31 retail stores.  Their credit rating is falling.

I am assuming that their manpower to keep up with competitor's products is also suffering.  They might be holding off a fix for this problem and concentrating their energies toward Kit Kat.

Where do I go to disable the hd overlay. I can't seem to find that option on mine.

I have android 4.3 and build number

10.4.B.0.577

You need to go in developer options.

I have been all over the settings section and cannot see a developer options section.

My Asus tablet has a developer options section under system but THIS SGP312 only has date/time

accessibility and about tablet.

Go to the settings section and look for the "Build number" in the "about" section..  Start tapping on build number..

A dialog will pop up that you only need to tap x more times.  The total taps are 7.  That will then open up the entire menu of options.  I recall that started with 4.2.

Do we have any response from Sony on the 'buggy' 4.3 software, screen flicker and when we are likely to get a fix? I sooo wish I had ignored the software update message. Never again will I update, without checking that updates are stable

I also noticed, I now seem to have WiFi connection drops occuring. BBC iPlayer has been buffering video's in play, whereas before the update I had no issue

I only bought my lovely tablet on Friday and now I have annoying niggles. I can put up with it in the short term but should I have had to put up with it, in the first place? Don't the developers test the updates before release? Why do we have to be the Beta testers, I wanted to leave that to the Nexus 10 owners

Come on guys, try to get it right first time!

P.S: One addition tomthe above. The firmware build number for the 4.3 update, now showing in my tablet'settings' is 10.4.B etc. This number does not match the number I picked up elsewhere, via PC Companion

What does the B stand for (please, not Beta!)

btw, my keyboard is flickering very noticeably, as I type. Same issue with Firefox. Good job, I'm not an epileptic

Hoping for some action, soon

P.P.S: It seems (I don't know how!) I have posted my comments, in the wrong place. I wanted them to be included in the 'Flickering Screen after 4.3 update!!!' thread

Apologies
