Flickering Screen after 4.3 update!!!

anyone encountered a flickering display when opening small apps and when using the keyboard? any fix on this bug?

this is frequently happens in browsers when typing using the on screen keyboards..

Tried to restore to factory reset, no good.
Tried 3 different firmwares, but still no good.
Mine is sgp311 16g wifi only..

Please fix this ASAP sony..

I am a new sony tablet owner and as I am typing my screen is also flickering. I got an sgp312 with all the latest updates.
I am dissapointed sony won't at least acknowledge this problem on this forum and give us all hope of a fix in the near future.
Come on SONY!! I thought you were better than this.

After the last ota update build number 10.4.B.0.569 I was still seeing flickering while typing. Now though after running it for a couple of days the flickering has all gone

Another one here - it honestly makes this tablet virtually unusable!!!
If Sony don't offer a quick solution to this then my tablet WILL be going for a visit to the nearest Sony retailer's & I won't be leaving without a refund as it is not fit for purpose the way it is!!!

Same here, driving me nuts, I know there is a one year warranty, I am ready to return it. Atleast the new one will not have the updated crap.

Sometimes getting a 'blank' browser page after sleep.

A lot of users are having problems & have been for a couple of months.

Is anybody at SONY listening ????????

I disabled the HW overlays and the flickering stopped ....

I did what you recommended! took mine back to the Sony Shop and it turns out that any Xperia Tablet Z WiFi/LTE running JB 4.3 have this problem! what's more funny is that the one they have on display has this problem! so go and figure! The guys in the shop told me "The only way they fixed this is to go into developer options and disable HW overlay! until sony releases a fix, but don't hold your hopes up" That really says alot coming from your own staff!

Well, I went into developer options and disabled the HD overlay.  So far so good!  No flashing!  I will let folks know if that still works on all sites and browsers.

works fine with my sgp311. To next sw update i think that it's an acceptable solution

Hallo to all. I have disabled HW Overlay and it works fine. But if you power off the tablet, this setting does not remain (sorry for my orrible english).
