the call log on phone app does not merge for the same person.
e.g. a contact with 1234567 missed call twice and it will appear 2 lines on the call log instead
I think that is the way it works,as long as the contact is not saved.
I'm with alexdon on this one. If the number isn't saved it should behave like this. If the contact is stored, it should merge them as far as I know.
And about saved contacts,only if the calls are consecutive the contacts are merged in the call log. Not sure about not saved numbers,have you checked? Were the missed calls consecutive or did you receive other calls between?
regardless saved or not, it is not merged. it only merged once i called back the number.
You could try settings-apps-all,scroll down to phone app,force stop and clear data. Do the same for contacts. Restart.
Make sure to have a backup of your contacts.
i have 3 phone app appeared on the app list. is this normal?
On my Z1,there are 2 Phone apps, one Phone contacts app and Phone/contacts storage. Clear data for those simple phone apps.
mine hase 3 phone apps and one phone contact
