fone not switching on

first my fone suddenly gets switched off n it was not responding for 2-3 mins, then it gets switched on almost automatically. the same happened again within 10-15 mins. But the third time it got switched off, it is not working anymore. Not responding. Please help.

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

thanks for the reply.

But the PC companion doesnt seem to detect de phone. I followed the steps as mentioned but after connecting the fone to the computer (while pressing the vol. down button), the application is not proceeding to the next step, and the insturction says "application will proceed automatically".

Have you connected the device only when prompted,not before? Did you charge it for 2-3 hours?

yes...the connecting part was done correctly as I had done it earlier also...but I have my doubts on whether the phone is getting charged or not. As the phone is not getting switched on, I cant say whether it got charged or not, but I had kept the phone on charging, for atleast 5 hours.

and the notification light is not red, as it is supposed to be while i put it on charging.
