Water Damage

I Recently purchased an Xperia Z3 thinking that the phone's waterproof.
However when I took it out in the rain, I ensured all the flaps were shut tight, but somehow water entered the phone and it shut down.
I sent it to the service center but all they kept telling me was that the liquid indicator was red so iI can't get warranty.
I asked for a WRT and the phone failed the test.
This only states that the error was a defect in a phone, so why can't I get warranty for my product then?
I'm paying around 50k for the phone and they're asking for an estimation of 27k to fix it even though the fault is of the phone.
This is pure non sense.
I've lost all my trust in sony.
Please help me regarding the same.

I'm sorry to hear that, but this is a user based forum, you will have to handle this with your local Xperia Care

Was the phone dropped or has any cracked or physical damage?

The phone hasn't been cracked nor suffered physical damage.

Perhaps you will have to call them and request a vacuum test again.

They've already told me that it failed the vacuum test but still resist giving me my warrant saying it has liquid ingression

I'm sorry, but there's nothing else I can help you with

I just want to know if I should get warranty under such circumstances?

I can only give you an opinion, like anyone else, but you can check the warranty here
