daye your here in the phillipines too right? what have you done so far? I have my phone in the service center almost a month now but still they said that there still no parts available for the touch pannel? Have you tried updating your fw  to .184?

the screen doens't works at all, i updated to last FW adn reset to defautl several times, but nothing works.

Sometimes when is plugged (to wall, not usb port) the screen works.

Any progress out there?

The screen will need to be replaced  Slightly_frowning_Face

Mine's been in the service centre for a couple of weeks now, waiting for the new screen to arrive....

Even my touchscreen stopped completely responding.

It's been 2 weeks since i dropped it at the service centre.. I'm sick and tired of Sony.. They keep promising to deliver my phone within a couple of days everytime I call.. I'm gonna sell it.. Hopefully I'm gonna find some takers for this piece of crap.. Check out my thread for more info..

Yes, I had it checked in two different service centers now and both said that the touch panel need to be replaced and, as usual, the parts aren't available yet. About the 184, yes, I did update to 184 but still to no avail. It's pretty obvious that the problem is a physical one so updating will probably not help.

mine is still in the service center. Yeah they also told me that the touchpanel needs to be replaced. I'm still waiting for the part to arrive.

It's just really unfair that I just used the phone for 2 weeks without even dropping it and all of a sudden it will go to a major refurbishment like this... unacceptable. Really...

Hi all. Same touchscreen problem arised approx. in 2 weeks while a traveling few days and my Xperia was in closed pocket box. I have reinstalled firmware many times and it does not help me. But. Found on one russian forum very interesting thing. And it helps to me.

You can try. Try to keep screen of the phone under direct bright sunlight some minutes (10-20). And it will respond like new one, also when not under sunlight. My keep working for 7 hours, but by info from forum, the problem can arise again. But you know now how back it to working conditions. 😃

By my mind - something wrong with lighting sensor, hope the problem will disapear in next software update.

p.s. sorry for errors, gl (but not overheat your Xperia. My, while was in 40 dg heat has a camera button not responding if overheated for 15 minutes) Winking_Face

The same here, touchscreen seem so have severe issues: Seems to help to hold the phone while using the touchscreen or plugging it to the charger or computer. Probably some kind of grounding is needed. Absolutelty useless for in car navigation: without cable plugged in it doesn´t work at all. Using it on a isolating surface like a bed doesn´t work, too.

So I brought it to the service center after one week, they send it in and made a "firmware upgrade" to 184. Very funny, since this was up to date already. I´ll send it right in again... My last Sony Ericsson phones were good quality, so face the problem Sony!
