Sony Xperia Sola : Touchscreen Problems

I had bought this xperia sola 2 weeks ago.....it worked like butter since then till today morning......when i discovered that it's touchscreen is not working properly.....

The touch screen is not responding as it should...Sometimes it sens and sometimes not...!!!

1. it's difficult to unlock....   time : 00.04,  2.10

2. then you cant select or delete clock widget (when you touch and hold.....it presumes that u touched ones and opens the clock.)             time :00.24,   2.48

3. Capacitive  buttons are also not responding well...     time :00.27

4. not able to change wallpaper......as when touching and holding in empty region.....it doesn't open the wallpaper widget menu....    time:  00.30,   02.22

    TOUCH and HOLD  is not working....

5. also it have problem in dialing numbers...    time: 00.42

6. things doesn't changes even after restarting....   time :1.39

7. also have problem in app menu....   time : 3.40

In all the whole problem is of touchscreen response......

I have also rest it to factory setting and formatted it's internal memory.....(in case some setting or app has created this problem)  but unfortunately that has also not helped.....

also .162 update is not unavailable from sony(it was available earlier)......!!

also sony companion is also not repairing my phone...it says that your phone is upto date.....
and update centre is also saying phone up to date....and is also not showing"update anyway" feature as suggested by some users....

PLEASE HELP !!! ....I have bought this phone just 2 weeks ago...

it seems to be a regional release and may take time to get seeded for all .. i did move to .184 and initial feedback is the p[hone is a lot more smoother .. temple run also goes without any hiccups

I just updated by PCC, I plugged my Sola and just be there. Maybe it's just that I've a central europe firmware version.

My phone has the latest firmaware version. I tried evrything i could but it just got worst.

My phone is with the service center for 3 weeks now. Waiting for them to do something on it...

From what country is your fw?

I looked in sony website and it says last version is:

Latest available software: 6.0.B.3.162
Release date: 2012-06-29

Hi everyone,

I just updated to .3.184 using flashtool but the touchscreen problem still persists.

It actually improved for a while but after less than a minute, it returned to its unresponsive state again.

I guess, mhae0217, we'll just have to wait for the spare parts to arrive here in the philippines so that we can have our Sola's repaired. Well, I'm actually planning to file a complaint to Sony directly but I don't really think they'll gonna react to it.

My phone had no problem except frequent network disconnection in the previous update(.162) but now after updating to .184, my touch screen has gone bananas, its become very unresponsive.

I cant rearrange icons, remove widgets or add shorcuts and its so hard to unlock the phone. I repaired it several times in PC Companion and I even reset the phone twice but the problem still remains.

I cant even zoom while browsing.

Touchscreen was working so fine before this d.a.m.n update. I'm never gonna buy another product from this horrible Sony. NEVER!

It is a very pathetic from SONY. A lot of of people are facing the same touchscreen issue. Sony should be apologising to its customers. Xperia Sola is my first Sony product and its a very bad experience, I will in future never prefer a sony product.

Yeah sure, wait for sony's apologies   They don't care about you;re problems, actually they don't give a shit about it so keep buying sony smartphones

Still have touchscreen problem after update and after PC Companion repair. 

Wish I hadn't waited for the update and just took it back when first had problem.

Suddenly the screen works better, it yet stop working a few times at day, but restarting the phone it works again.
