Sony Xperia Sola : Touchscreen Problems

I had bought this xperia sola 2 weeks ago.....it worked like butter since then till today morning......when i discovered that it's touchscreen is not working properly.....

The touch screen is not responding as it should...Sometimes it sens and sometimes not...!!!

1. it's difficult to unlock....   time : 00.04,  2.10

2. then you cant select or delete clock widget (when you touch and hold.....it presumes that u touched ones and opens the clock.)             time :00.24,   2.48

3. Capacitive  buttons are also not responding well...     time :00.27

4. not able to change wallpaper......as when touching and holding in empty region.....it doesn't open the wallpaper widget menu....    time:  00.30,   02.22

    TOUCH and HOLD  is not working....

5. also it have problem in dialing numbers...    time: 00.42

6. things doesn't changes even after restarting....   time :1.39

7. also have problem in app menu....   time : 3.40

In all the whole problem is of touchscreen response......

I have also rest it to factory setting and formatted it's internal memory.....(in case some setting or app has created this problem)  but unfortunately that has also not helped.....

also .162 update is not unavailable from sony(it was available earlier)......!!

also sony companion is also not repairing my phone...it says that your phone is upto date.....
and update centre is also saying phone up to date....and is also not showing"update anyway" feature as suggested by some users....

PLEASE HELP !!! ....I have bought this phone just 2 weeks ago...

Hi.. Can you tell whats this "DO" period and with in how many days can a Sony cell phone be given for replacement??

I think DO period is the post purchase period, during which a phone can be returned to the store in case of a fault.It will be replaced with another unit.Its 7 days for sony

"DOA" means if ur phone has bad problem with in under 7 days of buying then sony distributor will give u new sealed box...after 7 days only handset replacement...

this is also depends on service centre care service...if the service guys are serious and good then they will do service perfect...very fast...

I am annoyed with 2 problems with my cell phone. One is battery life which is horrible and no words to explain how bad it is.

The other is, touch screen experiences lag occassionally. but this is more prominent when the cell is plugged for charging.

Can sony give an update if these issues will be fixed? its annoying to the core to have shelled out so much money and to experience such problems.

Is Sony hearing??

sony support is not rplying, so sony is not hearing..:smileylaugh:

ok.some times when u update ur phone then phone will not update properly..

the problem which u said this is firmware problem.

i think u should update again with update service with factory data reset i hope this helps...

if not  then u should go to service centre then they will install firmware with there best method from sony....yeh jaroor help karega...:smileyhappy:

I have the same problem with my xperia sola, i cant even open the lock.. having this problem from past 2 to 3 days. Sony please reply to the message and find a solution to the problem.

I bought my sola in june 2012 and now i have the same problem. The area where i have a lot problème is down right (where call button positionned).

know i will going to test the bath sun tips.
