Sony Xperia Sola : Touchscreen Problems

I had bought this xperia sola 2 weeks ago.....it worked like butter since then till today morning......when i discovered that it's touchscreen is not working properly.....

The touch screen is not responding as it should...Sometimes it sens and sometimes not...!!!

1. it's difficult to unlock....   time : 00.04,  2.10

2. then you cant select or delete clock widget (when you touch and hold.....it presumes that u touched ones and opens the clock.)             time :00.24,   2.48

3. Capacitive  buttons are also not responding well...     time :00.27

4. not able to change wallpaper......as when touching and holding in empty region.....it doesn't open the wallpaper widget menu....    time:  00.30,   02.22

    TOUCH and HOLD  is not working....

5. also it have problem in dialing numbers...    time: 00.42

6. things doesn't changes even after restarting....   time :1.39

7. also have problem in app menu....   time : 3.40

In all the whole problem is of touchscreen response......

I have also rest it to factory setting and formatted it's internal memory.....(in case some setting or app has created this problem)  but unfortunately that has also not helped.....

also .162 update is not unavailable from sony(it was available earlier)......!!

also sony companion is also not repairing my phone...it says that your phone is upto date.....
and update centre is also saying phone up to date....and is also not showing"update anyway" feature as suggested by some users....

PLEASE HELP !!! ....I have bought this phone just 2 weeks ago...

Okay, so sun bathing the phone does work, but what happens if we don't have any sun light??

Right now my phone is in terrible condition, and there hasn't been sun for a day because of the rain. How am I supposed to get it working then? Hairdry it? It doesn't seem to be a heat problem because I've tried getting the screen a little warmer, but it's still not working. This is stupid.

Take it back and get it repaired or replaced.

The screen on mine had that problem and has been okay since it got replaced.

I request all those people facing the issue to take it to service center.I got my sola`s board replaced and now its fine.

i bought my sola from thailand.. but i live in nepal and there is no sony station around here.. now what can i do??

when i repair my phone using sony PC comapnion then it works for sometime without any issue.. but after certain time it start showing problem.. plz help me

When i woke up this morning the touchscreen didn't work properly, i put mine in the fridge and some minutes later.... voila! But when i restart the phone the problem appears again. It don't seems to be a hardware problem cause when i plug it on the pc, the touchscreen works fine. If the update to ics or a hard reset with a format don't work, i will go to a sony center to yell at the poor employee for a quick repair!!

No, in fact, in made mine worse. Previously, I only have the problem when I am charging my phone with USB, but now, i have the same problem (and worse!) even when i charge it through the outlet with the original charger.

i gave sunbath for 5 minutes and it started working fine again... thank u.... but does this mean i need to get my phone screen replaced or its something to do with weather ??

This is for people who have replaced they phone or touch screen for Xperia Sola.

after giving the phone to service center has the touch screen problem reappeared again ??

has anyone found the reason why these touch screen problem keeps happening and a permanent solution ??

I got the entire PCB replaced.Now I sold the phone and switched back to ios..If you have warranty ,then give it to service center.Sunbathing is not a permanent solution.Its a hardware issue

i updated to ICS and everything is fine now.. i dont think it is hardware issue..
