Notification Bar keeps falling while ending calls

I 've been using Ei dual for about two months and I've found right from the beginning that when I touch the red button to end a call the notification bar falls down then I've to remove upwards and end the call. Not only this but when I use the number pad while a call is on hold the notification bar falls down frequently when dialing the numbers. I waited for software updates and got a major update 10 days ago via pc companion but in vain. No matter how good a phone is on music, videos and clicking pics, a phone's always a phone first that is it's main function is to receive and end calls and I am experiencing problems in doing that. First I didn't knew what to do , found no forum to discuss this issue and after a long search I found this place and therefore I will be greatful if anybody can help me.

What is this a software/ hardware issue, Manufacturing defect or anything else ? What should i do ?

boot on safe mode and try to replicate the problem

Hi dighunt, welcome to the community!

If the issue is not present in safe mode then I adivse restarting the phone normally & going into Settings > Apps > All and tap on each app you have installed and then tap Clear data and/or delete any third party apps you don't use/need any longer.

If the issue is not present I wuold advise running a software repair with either PC Companion or Bridge for Mac. Keep us updated.

Let me inform you that this problem started after 10 to 15 days after purchasing the phone , at that time I was only using 2 third party apps (opera mini and uc browser) when I first faced the problem as I called somebody and on touching the end call (red button) the notification bar fell down. After that it happened frequently on everycall while pressing the numberpad. 

I tried the safe boot method and I didn't found anything, then tried the second method of deleting app data, for five days I was happy and thought that it was over but in vain. It  came back and now everytime I end a call the bar fells down I've to swipe up and then end the call.

I didn't tried the repair option .  will my warranty become void by using the repair option ?? will it hamper my phone in any sense ??

why sony is not giving any update to resolve this issue ?

PC Companion phone repair will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. It doesn't affect your warranty, but you'll lose your settings, customaization, and any data on internal memory, thus you're advised to back up your data before you proceed.

Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

I did the repair via Pc companion. I did it one day ago . I 've not installed anything. What I feel is that the falling of notification bar has reduced but it has not gone completely. Since the repair I've experienced such problem two times. Now what to do ?? How to stop it completely b'coz now it is happening occassionally !!
