I've searched the threads, but didn't see anything related to my problems, so please excuse me if I missed it.
Since I updated to Lollipop this weekend I've had the following issues:
1. When the (stock)messaging app is open it doesn't chime when a new message comes in and sometimes when the screen is off I don't receive a notification chime either. I have made sure it's on and set to a tone.
2. MMS messages automatically go to "Queued For Sending" and won't send until I either A. restart my phone or B. delete the MMS and send it again.
3. Web browsers take forever to load or won't load at all until I back out and try again.
4. When the lock screen is on I no longer have the message icon in the upper left corner as before. Now it just says Tmobile. I do have it set to show notifications when the lock screen is on, but I don't like having the message show on the lock screen and if I turn it off I don't see notifcations for messages at all.
5. 'Brightness' setting doesn't seem to get as bright as it did before the update which isn't that much of an issue until I am in the sunlight and even then it seems the screen isn't bright enough to see everything.
Suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!
I haven't even noticed a little screen, maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. lol I prefer it to show up on the screen and interrupt me, even if I don't want to speak to who's calling. ha!
@BelchinBertha wrote:I also have to mention that when I am in an app and a call comes in, the call doesn't come on the screen anymore. Before the call would interruopt what I was doing and show me who is calling. Now it doesn't. I've missed quite a few calls in the past few days because of that. 😕
That's part of Lollipop, not quite Sony. Some people love it, some hate it.
Well Boo!
You can download third party launchers or perhaps other phone apps that might have the old UI
I was about to post that, kudos.
Thanks @Phy I read through that earlier.
@uliwooly can you tell from the info I posted if my singal strength good or poor?
@uliwooly - as for the notifications not chiming....I never had the issue before the update. I would get a notification even if I was running another app or if I was in another conversation, now I do not.
Also where are the APN settings?
-105 to -100 = Bad/drop call/data might not work or will be really slow
-99 to -90 = Getting bad/signal may break up
-89 to -80 = OK/shouldn't have problems, but maybe
-79 to -65 = Good
-64 and so on = Excellent
