I can't transfer Hi res audio files from pc to Walkman. I have downloaded FLAC files from Qobuz and it shows as Hi res in Music centre for PC but only transfers as AAC files and does not then show as Hi Res in the Walkman library. The walkman is up to date and Music centre for PC is also. Is there a setting I need to apply somewhere to enable transfer of Hi res that I have missed? I hope someone can help!
Hi ShaunO67, check this out, I don't think Hi-Res is supported.

Why bothering with music center? just drag & drop in the music folder of the walkman ^^
But with msic center there is obviouly a setting that is not right. That's why it's converting flac in aac
Thanks for your reply. I have drag/dropped it now to my nw-a105 but reduced the bit rate to 16 instaed of 24. The player is supposed to take 24 bit and there is plenty of space to take it so while I'm happy to have sorted it I still don't know why it won't accept 24 bit files. Maybe it's something I was doing wrong, who knows! i'll keep playing and hopefully learn more!
It definitely does!
Drag and drop is always easier and saves a lot of time, but glad it's working for you now. Maybe you want to mark it as resolved so it shows for people facing the same issues, cheers.
