Mine is built in too, but it's a USB1.1 interface.

Mmmh?

A MS use a USB interface? I don't knew this.
But USB 1.1 has only theoretically 11MB/s. LOL

On the RA104 it's under USB devices, same for GRX316MP.

My Devices Manager said : "Sony Memory Stick Controller"

But I find it between my Floppy and my DVD drive.

I am pretty fed up and annoyed at Sony's cheapness. I also only have one working USB 2.0 port. I am going to buy a Belkin USB 2.0 PCMCIA card to rectify this.

Don't Sony realise that USB 2.0 is backwards compatible with USB 1.1 and they foot the in themselves shoot? Why put two or three USB 1.1 ports on a laptop and only one USB 2.0 port?!

Here is the Device Manager screenshot.

Offtopic lol but the MemoryStick device on my PC is actually part of the PCMCIA bus and is controlled by a Texas Instruments PCMCIA FlashMedia Controller unit. Mine is pretty fast lol.

Here is what Device Manager says about the Memory Stick...

Lol probably didn't help much...

ROFL

Its not a screenshot, but look here

+ Laufwerke
+ Mäuse und andere Zeigegeräte
- Memory Stick controllers
Sony Memory Stick controller (WB)
+ Modem

I have the feeling, Sony has experimented a little bit. LOL

Why put two or three USB 1.1 ports on a laptop and only one USB 2.0 port?!

I think that is good question for the e-support!
Particularly, if I look in the manual of my laptop. I see 3 USB2.0 Ports. I think Sony needs some explanations for us.:smileycool:
