K315 B Brightness.

Hi All

The "brightness up" key (F6) on my Vaio seem to have stopped working.
This means that my brightness is stuck in the down position.

What is the solution?
New keyboard? New drivers? or something else?

As always I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

Can you use the other shortcuts? Maybe for the Volume or for the hibernate?

Works the F6 key in any other software? Is it only the F6 key which not work?

Every key works apart from f6.
f6 should cycle through files and folders in an active window (I think) and mine doesn't.

I can't believe I cant find another way to turn up the brightness.

have you tried to reinstall the keybord driver.

Have you tried changing the power managment settings for screen brightness. On my Z1MP you can use Powerpanel to select the screen brightness when on mains or batery.

OR:

If you have hotkeys / P1 P2 you can set one of those up to change the screen brightness. On my laptop this can be found in Sony Notebook Setup.

I can change the brightness in the power management settings......thank you for telling me about this.

Should I uninstall and reinstall the driver for the keyboard?
