FREEZING, SLOW RUNNING

My Brother also has a problem with his computer, we are not having much luck with these vaio's

Once the system starts up, it runs very slow, then freezes, is there any way to do a full system re-boot

he cannot access windows, as the screen is frozen

Try starting in Safe Mode (press F8 when the Sony Logo appears). If all appears to be normal run a virus scan followed by an Ad/Spyware scan.

Alternatively start in Safe Mode with network and follow this link for an on-line scan.
