Aloha!
I recently upgraded to Vista Ultimate and after a little bit of work things are finally running smoothly (ish)
The main problem I seem to have now concerns Dreamscenes (part of the Ultimate Extras)
This allows you to have animated wallpapers for your desktops.
When I jumped right in and did a clean instal of Vista Ultimate they worked perfectly. Now however the default Microsoft ones won't wok at all, I just get a black desktop behind the icons. I can still select video files to use (for example the sample videos)just not the dreamscene ones.
After uninstalling/reinstalling dreamscenes still no luck.
This is where I decided to jump in to bed with Sradock Deskscapes, which also provide 'dream' content. (Apparently they are working along side Microsoft)
Amazingly some of their dreams work, yet others have the same result as the Microsoft ones. Black screen.
I find it curious that some will work yet others won't. (On selecting some core 2 goes mental then windows explorer restarts and disables dreamscene LOL)
I wondered if this was a codec issue, so uninstalled the Vista Codecs Package - no luck.
I did wonder if it was an Nvidia problem, but if so why do some dreams work and others do not?
Any ideas?
Don't know anything about the problem but i am very interested by your CPU/RAM meter. Link?
LOL sadly thats not mine, but I will investigate it, it is rather swish.
