Xp pro > Vista

I'm bored of vista because all the programs i must use dont work on vista ex:solidworks or other CAD programmes.Then i would like to install xp pro 32bit version.But on the driver utilities web site there are only vista drivers for FE41E model.Could you help to find xp pro 32bit drivers for the model.
Or any other solution would be welcome.Like editing programmes to work on vista etc...

Well first off it you want to go down the XP route then the FE31 Drivers will work.

As for altering the programs to work you could try the compatibility method.

On the EXE files right click and get up the properties.

On the compatibility tab there is a tick box that makes the program think it is running in XP SP2 and usually does the trick.



If this doesn't work then Virtual PC maybe the way forward.
