Z2 problems after putting it in water

Hi everyone I bought Sony Xperia Z2  and I tried to test the water resistance of the phone for like 3 minutes inside a big cup full of clean drinkable water and then after pulling it out the screen back light was gone and I only hear the phone sounds that prove the phone is still working but I don't know what happened to the screen. please help me

If the screen was cracked then the phone wasn't waterproof.

I appreciate it but i really can say that only the back screen light is gone other ‫than that the touch screen is responding to my fingers the sounds are playing through the speakers the vibration is working I can feel almost everything except that the backlight off the screen is gone

You should NOT be using the phone as the LCD was water damaged, and using the phone might damage the phone further.

But sir it was only for the first time once i pulled the phone out of the water since that time im leaving the phone in a dry place under a fan as the front and back cameras are losing water vapors bit by bit
ill be in contact with sony care today
Problem is im in KSA now and i hope they do care about such customer problems i wish they do

Don't forget to use rice. 

The phones are waterproof, as long as they flaps are firmly closed and there aren't any physical damages to the phone.

hope you have some warrenty otherwise you might paying money to get it fix although i hope in saudia they wont make you pay i hope

sir the phone is totally new no physical damage at all and the flaps were closed tight i even have a picture of it inside the cup i was happy i have a phone that can do that but it took me down and i got disappointed and this is my first experience with sony smartphones

Its KSA my friend i dont think it will go as well as if that happened out side of this side of the world im already reading that sony care here in the capital Riyadh is miserably in need of a revolutionary enhancements
