I've nnly had my Xperia Z a day and it's totally dead. I had a full charge last time I looked and was using it about 5 minutes ago. No reaction trying to turn it back on (holding the power button for 10 seconds etc). I don't have a memory card in - just the micro-sim.
Anyone had the same? any suggestions?
Hi all, I'm in the same situation.
My phone, bought 1 month ago, "died" this night . I left it with 30% of battery and I found it this morning shut down.
I tried to charge it bu without any success (red light of the led is on when connected to the charger or to the pc). I tried with a hard reset (power button + volume up button) with no success, kept on pressing for more than a minute but nothing happened. I've also tried removing sim card and ssd card but it was the same.
Any suggestion? thanks
Dont panic. Your phone is ok. Just plug it to charger and wait about 30min.
Hard reset=volume up+ power. Vol down + power = fastboot mode. Dont try to flash your phone on flat battery. You may brick it. If you have got red led while charging it is good. Just wait when it go to green.
i feel for the people here, i had that issue with two copies of the xperia T: http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/66084?start=0&tstart=0
I still took the risk by buying the Z, Thank the lord no problesm so far, but the battery capacity is pretty weak, you make it through the day but if you go travel for a few days you ll need a battery juice pack
Thanks but I left it charging for more than 5 h but the situation is still the same...
I used the power adaptor and connected to the pc too..The red light is still on but no other signs of life
Surry but it looks like only service can help you.
Yes it seems so...thanks for your help anyway.
Btw do you know how to contact/find a service assistance point in the UK?
Thanks again
Where You bought it from? If in shop then You should go back there. They should replace it directly if you bought it within 28 days. They can send it for repair as well.
Had my xperia z for 3 weeks. Went dead 5 times but been alright for 2 weeks. Looks like this problem fades away by itself. Haven't updated anything yet.
