Xperia SP Display Problem!

All SP owners please check this in your phone as well.

I'm having problems with my sp's display when the phone is kept on horizontal surface.

In the video,  phone is kept on the bed and i'm trying to use it. But you can see  the screen just misses the touch 😕 I wonder why.

This only happens when the phone is kept horizontally.

Ps: screen guard is not the problem since I checked with 2 different guards and phone works perfectly in hands.

PS2 > The screen works fine while phone is put to charging.

Same problem here, it occurs about once a week. I found a workaround, which works sometimes (but not always) - I use the camera button, which make touch screen to response.

I have had to do HW reset few times. It seems to get worse over last few weeks.

Im posting again after the Outcome of the steps i performed

Performed a Full Factory Reset but the issue on the Phone persists. Its the same horizontal block where the touch commands donot respond.

I wonder if sony releases any patch or Update to get this issue resolved or provides a Free Repair and Replacement for this issue

I noticed in my new Xperia SP that in bright backgrounds, like a blank web browser page, or a bright photo with continuous white or light blue tones, you can see vertical lines. Looks like the internal of the LCD screen is visible, is this normal? It is also visible when the screen is turned off and you look carefully. Is this a malfunction.

It is a malfunction. Your display driver chip in your screen is causing problem Few of your vertical arrays are shut down maybe because few of the pins of that chip has stopped working... Take it to your repair centre. It will be serviced free of charged if your device is still in warranty...

I'm so much in love with my new Xperia Sp rose red... and lo! It's quite unresponsive to touch and handling it has become quite a problem....  

It started all of a sudden and is continuing for a couple of days now...while charging and even not while charging...

All updated and formatted, but no avail...

Same problem also for z1 owners, screen is not responsive and losing touch on a flat surface. However, when in hand it loses touch also and the only remedy is that when you're touching the aluminum frame. Does SP users have a fix? since both z1 and sp use aluminum unibody

I have the xperia sp and the touch screen won't respond while the phone is connected to its charger. I have an xperia go too. I plugged the sp to the go charger and it works normally. Both chargers are originals that came with the phones.

Just 2 Weeks past i bought SP phone and in just two days i felt its touch screen doesn't function properly, Specially when i operate it keeping it on horizontal surface,

So in this regards i searched youtube and found several such issues,

kindly suggest some solution as its annoying amd irritates,

Never expected such kind of issues in sony phone specially when the market is competitve.

You have to take your phone to a Sony repair center ASAP or back to the store
