All SP owners please check this in your phone as well.
I'm having problems with my sp's display when the phone is kept on horizontal surface.
In the video, phone is kept on the bed and i'm trying to use it. But you can see the screen just misses the touch 😕 I wonder why.
This only happens when the phone is kept horizontally.
Ps: screen guard is not the problem since I checked with 2 different guards and phone works perfectly in hands.
PS2 > The screen works fine while phone is put to charging.
can it be a some kind of guarding mechanism for protecting from accidental toches!?
did you notic that if you angel your phone a little frome flat surface toch will responede..
or if your phone be one a thin surface like glass surface..put your hand under surface beneathe your phone..the toche will responde!
may be ist a bog??may be its a protecting mechanism!?
i don't seem to have the problem when placing the phone on flat surface or on my bed as i like to play my game while placing the phone on my bed...or when charging..
the problem comes when is phone is slightly hotter..that's all..
Tried flashing my firmware for the Philippines since I live here, the phone is from SG and when using SUS SG firmware is flashed. No signifiacnt changes. problem is still there
Hi Danial-mach1, I don't think is a feature. It's a bug, because Sony said that they investigated it and we must bring our phones to service. But, some people tried it and the issue still persists. And I don't like someone open my phone and do experiments inside it.. and without results.
What I observed is that in glove mode the touch is more receptive. The issue is it can only be enabled if unlocking the screen with a glove or cloth. It would be a good thing if somebody could create a widget for quickly enabling the grove mode from the home screen, or if the glove mode could be enabled also by unlocking the screen without gloves.
I too have this problem with my Xperia SP. Only when it is placed on a horizontal surface like table or bed.
Kindly do something about it
Hope this is not a hardware issue and could be fixed by any system update or something like that.
so after so much time i once again tried if the problem persists or not and i'm happy to say that it's working fluently. i just did an update some time ago (.254) and it's working fine. still don't know what the problem was and how it got resolved.
Same problem here dude. I can see the brownish vertical lines in the display when the display is off. Also same is noticable when the display is on. It irritates me because my phone is brand new.
