Xperia P charger broken, what can i do?

I really need my phone working ASAP and i dont have any money to spend.

The phone is not charging, the charger plug is broken, also the socket it worn out.

Should i take it to customer support? Will they charge me? Is there anything i can do besides buying a new charger? Could i charge the phone via USB with my laptop computer?

You can connect your USB cable to another charger or to a computer, the computer will take a LOT longer to charge your phone, as long as its a micro USB charger you should be able to use it to charge your phone, most if not all Android phones are compatible
