So recently after the new sytem update came out for my phone , 15.4.A.1.9 , I downloaded the PC companion and started downloading the update. After this was done and they told me to connect my phone back to my laptop , I did , but my phone randomly shut down , like it would do when there was 0% charge , but I remember the phone having 80%+ charge! After this , when I connect the phone back to the laptop , it shows the red lcd light , indicating that it is charging and connected , but then changes to green , indicating that it is at high/full charge. When I try to turn it on I get to the SONY screen and then it just stays there! The XPERIA screen with the lights in the background does not turn on , let alone the phone! I can't even update the software this way as the PC companion does not detect my device!
Please help!
Thanks!
When updating via PCC your phone will shut down and start Flashmode which is the update process and appears to have failed - So if you have unpluged your phone before it has complete then you need to perform a system repair
To perform a system repair via PC Companion - Switch off your phone and unplug it from your Pc open PCC and run Support zone then select update my phone/tablet then in Blue select repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - At some point you will be asked to connect your phone - To do this hold volume down and connect your USB cable
Thank you for the reply , but I can't seem to find the repair option. I remember when I clicked the Support Zone option , I used to get a bunch of options to choose from , but if I click it now , when the phone is not connected to my computer , it just shows me 0 options , and it says 'Quick Launch Area : .....' on the top.On the top left corner of the box , it says No Phone/Tablet Connected and below that it says How To Connect and Update The Phone / Tablet.
Thanks for the reply.
EDIT : Sorry , I exited and restarted the PCC and now it shows me more options in the Support Zone area. Phone/Tablet Software Update - Accessories Software Update - Recycle Your Phone/Tablet - Xperia Care. Now I can select the repair button! Will be trying what you said. Thanks !
Thank you so much! It says I have updated my phone and now it has finally reached the xperia screen! It's taking a while , but the PCC said it might take a while on the first power up after the update!
