xperia L sound issues

Some times when i play a song, Video or a Game sound comes through the earpiece instead of the Loudspeaker. Problem solves after a restart but it occurs frequently. This should be a software problem. This occured after the latest software update. Please help SONY....

I also have this problem. problem disappears if you end the call, but it is not normal for any phone. This could be a software problem. Does Sony response to the new upgrade fixed the error. . Please sony to reply

I have the same problem but after restart it gets fixed actually the sound is coming from the front speaker ie. from the earspeaker and it happened after the 4.2.2 update. Please fix this glitch ASAP btw it's just 1month since I got this mobile

I got this issue resolved.

Everytime u update your phone i mean major OS update reset your phone to its factory settings. 

I did reset the mobile to its factory settings and its been almost 2 weeks, I haven't experienced the problem.

Hello All

My xperia L phone is just 2 days old, when I try to play music thro walkman app from Sony, the output is in minimal volume though the Volume settings is in Maximum. But it gets resolved by itself after a reboot / I leave it as is..Did anyone go the service center & check. What was their feedbacback on this.

I also have the same issue. It occurred after the 4.2.2 update. It's really irritating. Sometimes happens if I listen music and someone texts me, or I get an e-mail, etc. ... So basically something that has a sound notification. It seems that since this update the phone can't handel more the one "sound" at the same time. But not always! Sometimes just a call can mess things up...

Maybe the "switching" between the 2 speakers has something to do with it...

Like others said it can be resolved by restarting the phone, or I found another solution, just call your self or someone. After the call went through, you can just hang up, and tadaaa its a miracle, the sound comes where it should.

Anyone has a permanent solution to this problem?

just few questions to clarify

>is it happening same to all games or only for specific one ??

>does this happen when you play musiq or video ??

>if it is happening to only to that game , then issue is with the app so you might contact the game developers, else try to do hard reset it will do the trick, try it

>Press and hold volume button for few seconds, later press power button  it shows safe mode , select appropriate option to reboot it and check

It's not a specific problem. It happens with anything...

As I've said, sometimes it even happens if someone calls me. After I hang up, the sound is coming from the front speaker. And yes, sometimes it happens if I listen to music and someone calls me, or just texts me, again basically another "sound event" happens.

So I'm almost certain that this is a software related, more specifically android 4.2.2 problem. Because before that I haven't had any problem.

Maybe I should try the hard reset... I'm gone lose my things, don't I? So I have to save things first?

Doing Hard reset will not harm(lose) anything it helps in rebooting the device in safe mode, only RESTORING the phone does makes to lose everything, so its better to have backup if you wanted to

about issue, some times while updating there might be a glitch in software, it happens usually when updation isnot done using high speed broadband(not wifi), so whenever you(all) want to update the firmware its better to have high speed internet on computer..

>or you can do to upgrade the software using different computer with high speed intenet, if in either case its not working then, there might be some hard ware functionality issue, because even technical person the maximum can do is updating the firmware again , so i suggest you all to do the same

and also before your phone run out with warranty make it check with sony center,if nothing is working, to save some bucks guys
