Today suddenly my Xperia Go touch screen stopped reacting at all. Wherever I touch it, no response anymore. I have succeeded to turn it off, hoping that this would help. But when I turned it on again, I would have had to put in the PIN code, but since the touchscreen did not accept any signal, that was it! What can I do? How can I at least save the data? Also attaching to a computer does not help since it wants me again to type in the PIN code. I have heard that I could buy a new touchscreen and perhaps mount it myself. But I am not sure whether I really can do this and whether this will help.
If compatible connect a USB OTG cable along with a USB Pc mouse and as said if compatible will allow you to control your phone and save data
As for touch issue you may need to have this inspected so you could contact Xperia care or visit the place of purchase or you could also attemt a DIY repair but if your phone is in warranty then any DIY repairs would void this

Thank you, but I have already tried to connect my phone with my laptop by an USB OTG cable and control the phone through the Sony PC Companion. But this also does not work since as soon as I make the connection I would have to type in the PIN code, which I cannot do since the touchscreen does not work!
I said to use a USB mouse then once the pin is entered then enter the security settings and disable security and then you can use PCC to backup your device
As far as I understand I do use a USB mouse. But I cannot enter the PIN since the touchscreen does not react!
Then a black arrow should appear on your phones screen with which you can click on the numbers to enter the pin
Forget the touch screen - the touchscreen is no good as you have said - Connecting a USB mouse the OTG cable should enable you to control your phone like you do with a desktop Pc - you use a mouse you don't touch the screen and even if it was a touchscreen Pc you can still use a mouse
Could it be that I have misunderstood you?? Do you mean to connect the mouse directly to the phone without laptop? This would mean that I need a double female USB connector to connect the male USB connector of the mouse with the male USB connector of the USB OTG cable?!
Our two last messages have crossed each other! Thank you! I'll try that!
one end plugs into your phone and the other connect to a usb mouse aka USB OTG cable http://christophercolston.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/usb_otg.jpg
After some problems, I succeeded to save almost all my data from the old smartphone (Xperia Go) where the touchscreen not worked anymore. Now I have an Xperia M2 aqua. Thank you again very much for your useful advice!
