I always transferred photos etc to the SD card when prompted, and the SD card is nearly empty. I keep getting the message that the storage is full on the phone, and so far I have cleared down the cache on all apps. Uninstalled my favourite game app which I now can't install.
I then rebooted the phone.
I can't upgrade anything, internet searches will not load.
I don't think I have a lot of apps, but apps seem to be the problem.
I have Kindle, Kobo, My supermarket, Slimming World, Pocket mags and a few others. I tried to delete some I don't use to be told they are factory installed and I shouldn't delete them.
I have only had the phone since April, and I have it for two years but now have a phone that only functions as a phone and for texts, I can still read books on the Kindle app.
Would it help if I do a factory restore and start again? Would the EE shop be able to help?
When you transfered these files to SD did you check they were deleted from internal storage? You may also want to enable hidden folders to become visible and delete the .thumbnails folders
I have a problem with accessing any folder in pc companion, they all show as totally empty! I will try again, but it is a process that the phone does, it transfers the images etc to the SD card, there are none on the phone memory as far as I can tell now.
When it tells me it is full, and I click on the transfer files option there is nothing to transfer so I don't think it is that. There is no option to transfer apps to the SD card.
On your phone using your file manager open the settings and select view or show hidden files and folders then look for the .thumnails folders and any others that you think are of no use anymore - You often find folders left behind in Android then obb
I don't think this phone has file manager, it has file commander, can't see anything in that to do as you suggest.
What I have done in PC Companion is repair phone, this was effectively a reset, so I lost all my texts, and was unable to back up as that had ceased working, however I now have a fully functional phone again for now!
