Hi!
The raw data: Xperia Z2, Lollipop 5.02, 23.1.A.1.28
The story goes like this: flashed my X2 on friday, everything worked perfectly for 24 hours then Wi-fi&bluetooth stoped working as in this message: /t5/Xperia-Z2/Wifi-and-bluetooth-won-t-turn-on/m-p/986337#U986337
The action: cecked antivirus and any anti-anything then uninstalled them; checked the wi-fi hardware with 3 other phones, a tablet and a laptot - works just fine!; performed soft reset; performed hard reset; try checking hardware using the hidden service menu *#*#7378423#*#* and it told me to turn on wi-fi or bluetooth (Doh!!!). All this time the Lollipop incorporated diagnostics software says it passes the test for Wi-fi (can I get a wt... is going on here?!).
The difference: Now my mobile comunications are down. They were down yesterdy morning, then worked in the afternoon after another hard reset then ... nothing, yet again! I checked the SIM card, it workes perfectly.
From where i"m standing it looks like a software issue. Any thoughts on the matter?
Thanks in advance!
Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
So ... it didn't work. I did that twice, once last week, once just now. Thanks for the solution anyway. I think I have to be patient for another update to be released and if it doesn't work even after that one ... we'll cross that bridge when we get there. For now I have to live with a non-smart X2. On the good side I didn't charge my battery in days :)))).
