Voice call quality problem

Use my wife's Z2 for a while and wanting to buy but fortunately didn't because the phone been having call quality issue as in the other party can't hear clearly, sound muffled or voice breaking up. Send the phone for repair 3 times! Sony service center even change mother board and casing but voice quality is ok sometimes but break up most of the time. My sister's Z2 though she say got not issue but at times voice sound distance too.

In the end, my wife sold it yesterday!! Total frustration and dissapointment!!

The same problem. Service told me to manualy select 2G network!!!

The most powerfull phone in the world should work only as GSM - 2G? Not for that price!!!

I will sell all Sony i got. PS3, BRAVIA, AVR, VAIO…

Bye, bye sony!

Exactly same fault here. Other party cannot hear you. My Z2 call quality is terrible. Sony support have been useless. This is a truly hopeless phone.

Hi,

I have the same problem. It is so embarrassing that Z2 has problem with the main function of the phone such as phone call.
Does anyone know that the problem is in all phones Z2 becouse I wanna send the phone to the Orange for exchange on another one.

It all depends of how much luck you have. 2 out of 3 phones have that kind of problem. I tested 7 pices and 2 did not have problem.

The most interesting thing is that skype or viber calls have no problem. Just regular phone call.

Thank you very much for fast reply. I will try exchange the Z2 once. If I get phone with the same problem, I will change Sony Xperia Z2 on HTC One.....

Well, it may be a poor Orange signal as well 😕 try other brand (prepaid) and compare.
