Update to 23.4.A.1.232

I have just tried to update my Z3 (D6603) to 23.4.A.1.232, it is now stuck in a boot loop.  When I have tried PC Companion to repair the installation, it gets so far and keeps telling me that I am not connected to the internet (when I obviously am).  Please anyone HELP!

Are u sure is. 232 update? As far as I know it's not release yet

@mrsoundie: Go to this XDA thread you will find there the Guide to using Flashtool and a list of FTF firmwares ready to use to flash your phone.

Flashtool is the solution for you and it will get your phone to a working status again.

After that, you can either Root and install a Recovery -that will let you keep up to date using .zip format firmwares that you can flash through recovery (keeping root of course)

Or you can connect your phone to PCC and keep up to date with the latest Sony Stock firmwares.

It's not a complicated process, read all before doing it but, you will be fine.

Yes it can be, and of course if you also root your device or open the bootloader may void your warranty. And remember PC Companion cannot be used to install official updates on devices with unlocked bootloader, you will need Emma in that case. Please I suggest you check this link:

Thank you to everyone who posted a suggestion, the problem has been solved.

Today using a friends laptop we eventually managed to get the phone updated.  This took four hours of downloading before the installation took place, phone now is working away fine (Build 23.4.A.1.200).  It boggles the mind that it could take four hours to download the update (which to our calculations is only 1.5 Gb).  Sony need to sort this out, as it seems that I am not the only one to suffer from this terrible lack of speed.  This slowness caused PC Comapnion to beleive that there was no internet connection.  How that works, I don't know.
