PLEASE HELP !!! ....I have bought this phone just 2 weeks ago...

I am very unhappy with how the sony has made these xperia sola phones without quality. Within 1 month of purchase the touch screen is not working properly the back and home buttons are irresponsive. I made a mistake to buy sony. Why sony is selling such phone i don't understand or they selling such phones only to India customers. I was a follower of sony products but with this kind of quality I have to quit and suggest others not to go for sony.
By spending 20000 rupees I need a quality product. Should I throw my phone or what?:smileysad:
Hi Speer,
Even i have had issues with my Sola. Its sad to hear that they dont even refund the amount inspite of the fact that the issues are not getting resolved. You can ask for replacement. otherwise I dont think anything can be done now. Only option wud be to sell it if u really dont want the handset.
Hai sheetal,
I dont think any one will buy phones with such a problem. And I have no time to run around service centers, its painful to have such things worthless spent with hard earned money:smileyplain:. Is there a way sony would replace it.:smileyconfused:
Hi Speer,
Yes Sony will replace your handset if your cell is in the warranty period and the problem is not due to any physical damage. Only thing is that they take around/minimum of 8-10 days to replace the handset.
Hi,
And another one in the same boat!
Is this a SOLA specific issue or are other models concerned as well?
In Luxembourg, we have no Sony Repair Center, so it takes even longer to get it repaired. Are you 100% sure it's an hardware problem?
I've had mine for a few months now, and only last 2 weeks, it started acting crazy. It it was hardware, should have been since the beginning, or not?
I'm on .184 and that has been installed recently (3 or 4 weeks maybe), so I'm more inclined to a firmware problem (easier fix, I think).
Hoping Sony will fix this!
I just signed up to find a solution for the same problem, I tried the sunbathing method, it worked for a while, but now it doesn't work at all.
This is very frustrating, so please could anyone confirm that the upgrade to ICS in fact solves the touch screen issue? (Screenshots of screen test would be great too).
I just wanna know if I should wait for the ICS upgrade or just give it back to the retailer or idk replace it with an Xperia P maybe.
Thanks in advance!
I've found two issues with my sola:
1) EXTREMELY unresponsive touchscreen when charging (basically unusable).
2) Unresponsive touchscreen when using the phone without actually holding it (if it's lying on a desk, for example).
Thankfully it's OK when holding it, but these issues, along with those that other people are experiencing, certainly don't inspire confidence in Sony's hardware (or firmware).
It's a shame, because I like the physical design of Sony's current devices, but this will be my first and last Sony phone.
This is the same experience with me ....
but I have a trick if you have a problem with xperia touchscreen,,,
pretty simple way to fix it, follow me ok.....
Unlock your phone (if the phone is locked) select home slide to the left until it runs out there is an option to enable like Wi-fi, Bluetooth, voice, airplane mode, and so on. you have to do is just activate the "Backlight" ... that's all.
Let Backlight turns within 1 day, it is draining the battery but it will cause effect on the touchscreen (it's how I feel, but do not know about you) but what's the harm if you try it
hopefully successful and you do not have to upgrade the firmware xperia
and finally apologize because I do not speak English (this is a translation of uncle google
) hopefully pleasing ...
*********GUYS, THERE IS A PATCH for this exact same problem for XPERIA TIPO, you can try to install the patch for this model.
See the post http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/57749
Give some feedback please and good luck
i tried it but it didnt work on my sola. ALERT "Application not executed. Please uninstall this application" But I saw the Touch FW Calibration at the background. Maybe its incompatible with sola. Here is the screenshot
