Sony xperia J is not booting after update

i was trying to update experia j.. evrything ws okay til it flashed the download icon with the yellow triangle and exclamation mark in it... i don't know if it finished updating.. i wasn't able to use PC companion either so my PC didn't recognize the phone when i connect it using USB. I tried the power button and volume up button pressed simultaneously but with no success... please help..

It sounds like the update failed. I suggest that you try to perform a software repair on your phone via PC Companion:

In PC Companion you press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Repair phone/tablet (the blue clickable link in the message) > Follow these steps without having your device connected to the PC.

Follow the instruction that appears in the program and do not connect your device until this guide tells you how to connect it.

hi... i'm stuck in the prepare options.. the part where you connect the phone with the PC, the next button won't be enabled...

PC Companion should go to the next step automatically if you connect the phone correctly. Make sure that it's completely off by removing the battery > Before you connect the phone, hold the volume down button and keep hold it down while connecting.

You can always try to perform the software repair from another computer to see if this can help. Otherwise, you may need to visit a service center to have your phone examined by a technician.
