screen looses touch when looking for data. hard restart needed.

after 7 months of no problems with my phone he suddenly started to be unresponsive to touch when i am in an area with bad connection (woods, cellars, elevator, big concrete building). If this happens i have to do a hard restart after which the phone works as before. sometimes this doesnt happen for a week and other days i have to reboot my phone 5+ times. this is becoming increesingly enoying. i also noticed this doesnt happen when my mobile data is switched off, so i suppose that here lies the problem. he s looking for a connection, doesnt find it and the screen stops working (the button on the side still works and i keep on receiving messages, calls,...)

anyone with the same problem?

also, my update to lollipop seems not to be available yet (belgium), is this possible? (i checked it both on the phone and with pc companion)

any help would be much apreciated!

Hi roels,

Here's how to run the repair on PC Companion:

4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps

And Bridge for Mac:

1. Launch Bridge for MAC without the handset connected.
2. On the Main Window select "Xperia > Repair Xperia Device".
3. Ensure the phone is charged and select "Ok" in the following window.
4. Select Continue on the following page.
5. Wait until the initialising step is finished the continue as below.
6 . Select your model of phone from the list that appears
7. Follow the connection steps that appear, ensuring that you are holding the relevant button down before during and after the connection phase until the update/repair begins.

This could be hardware, as it only happens when using data functions. I would suggest that you contact Sony Mobile Customer Care within your region, they should be able to help.
