A bit of black market under the radar dealing for spare parts landed me an xperia SP with a good glass screen so I could fix my smashed cover glass. What neither me or my friend realised is that his phone, although water damaged, operated, but the battery was toast. I ordered a load of genuine spares, a Cover glass panel, new battery, new backplate and cover and it ran fine a couple of days ago when not in the frame. However. Today, i got the touchscreen and I've tried to boot with everything connected, bearing in mind i had tested it all on my own SP to make sure it all ran perfectly. I've encountered what i assume to be a system recovery state. I'll attach a picture. It's got a bar at the bottom that has whizzed along for over an hour now without booting further. It gave the usual three buzzes for a dead battery on boot and took a few minutes to gather enough power to boot up at all. I will stress that the system has been running and before i stripped it down for repairs i did install the latest software on it (it hadn't booted or updated in over 7 months).
Is there anything i can do, or is it bin-fodder?
Thanks, Rob.
i'll try and get a refund as it's broken. digitisers aren't that bad to replace, it's just annoying that the whole phone seems to be built around the screen frame, therefore meaning the entire phone must come apart to replace the digitiser
