part of screen is darker

hi i am proud user of z3 compact, but then today for some reason after normal phone call with my head sweaty screen went crazy then after few minutes it came back to normal, but then i realized that power down button stoped functioning. after few minutes all went back to normal, i restart device and then i got this.

part of the screen is much darker then the rest (shown with red oval)

seams that some led is not working.

it can be seen best when background is white.

is this hardware or software issue, and can it be fixed?

i was preparing back up for my phone and then for some reason that part that was dark started to flicker.  now is mostly on but sometime is flickering back to dark and again on.

any idea ?

Could be a faulty connection or part of the backlight is faulty

i made back up wit everything included, will then my phone be returned to normal with passes programs accounts?

I saw this issue after water damage in Z3C.

Have you use your phone under water?
