Overheating when camera is on.

Overheating when camera is on.

Is it normal when the camera is on about 2 minutes the phone is overheating and the camera is automatically off? This happens when the temp outside is high. But in my opinion this is not good because I can do any pictures on summer days...the temp outside is about 29 C. Camera runs 2 minutes then shutdown for about 5 minute's to cooldown. The massage on screen say: Xperia temp is too high. The camera application is automatically off.

Where are you saving the pictures? Internal or external SD?

On SD card. But even if I don't take any picture the camera if overheating. I turn it on, wait minute or 2 and bum it's off.

That's an odd behavior, how do you know is the camera creating this heat?

It could be another app or apps and since your phone gets hot, it will lower the screen brightness and disable the camera to protect the phone.

What I would do is to boot on safe mode and check again.

I don't know what is creating the heat but only when I turn the camera on the phone is overheating. The other apps are closed. Only some notification are in the background like messenger, Facebook or instagram. And the phone is getting hot on the top front when the SONY is.

Just try my suggestion, boot on safe mode > let it cool down > while on safe mode use the camera and report back.
