No sound on a message

My xperia z3 compact does not sound whenever i have a new message ..i already adjust the settings.

On the message setting..still no sound whenever i have a text.

But when someone call..it rings..

Do you have your phone on silent mode? 

open the messaging app > menu > settings > notification settings > change the notification sound > restart the phone > check again.

No...its not on a silent mode..i already restart the phone

are you using the preloaded messaging app or a third party app? 

Settings > apps > all > messaging > clear data > restart the phone > check again.
