NO SIGNAL

I have purchased a new Zperia Z3 from sony store in US jersey, and I opened it in India.

I have tried several SIM cards but the phone is not detecting any network.

P.S Its a unlocked device and totally free from any contract.

Please suggest what can I do, and who can help here.

Indian service centres say they can not repair ot as its not purchased from India. Do I need to return the phone or its a minor problem. All other things in the phone are working perfectly.

One thread is enough and I fear that your country's networks won't be compatible with a US phone

I have purchased one Xperia T 2 years back from UK, and it worked fine in both the countries. Can this problem be specific to US phones?

Yes it can as the US uses different network bands to that of the EU and others

I checked with the service provider and also in the SOny service centre. They told that two models differ only in LTE network bands. My phone is not even catching 3G or 2G network. The service centre says that it should have catch the network.
