[MT27i] Xperia sola doesnt start

The phone doesnt start...even if I try restarting (Power off + Volume up down keys).. it just shows blank & then Xperia flashes continously without the phone starting on

Have you tried any operations like unlocking bootloader?

No i havent. How it is done? What exactly happens  bootloader is unlocked?

You will be able to flash custom ROMs.I suggest you charge the phone for about 2 hours and repair with SUS:

For me to update the phone, it has to start, correct? It doesnt. I did charge it for almost 2 hours in the noon through the wall charger but still didnt start. Now i have connected it to a USB for more than an hour.

No,SUS needs the phone to be off.

k great...but will i lose any data stored in the phone memory? Even though its been charging for over an hour in switch off mode...it still shows that the last slab is charged.
