Home button behaving strangely

Hi,

I have an xperia z3c since six days and it has been working fine so far.

This morning after starting it I noticed I didn't have any network connection so I searched manually and got it. And since that the home button isn't working. It does give a short vibrartion, click sound and shows the little animated circle around it and the back and app keys work fine. I tried turning it off and on a couple of times and always noticed the same problem - key works fine until i have to type in my PIN.

I also noticed that the camera stopped working propperly (I was taking quite a few photos and videos yesterday evening and it worked fine). The screen remains grey and I can only exit it by closing it in the current apps overview.

I went to settings - about phone - diagnose and tested the camera and screen and they seem to be ok.

I'm super annoyed since I switched from a samsung which started behaving weirdly after only a year, but this really tops it...

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks.

I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..

Before repairing your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.
How to backup?

If the issue should still remain I think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, contact your local support team.

How on earth can it be that a new device should be sent to be repaired after one lousy week?

Oh and I noticed the camera only doesn't work in manual mode. If I start it by pressing the physical camera button it opens in auto mode and works.

Hopefully it won't come to that. First of all you should try to repair the phone software.
