forgotten screen lock swipe pattern

HELP! i cannot remember the swipe sequence i set as my keypad lock. i have sent it back to carphone wareshouse and they sent it back saying they couldnt unlock it. Then i rang sony, they said install pc companion and follow the steps for reset, this will not work either as a screen keeps popping up saying 'please unlock screen'. i cant so this is the whole point!! this was a brand new phone and im at my wits end with it now

So if you install sony update service,open it and connect the phone when prompted,it cannot find your phone?

ok ive started the whole process over again, its now found my phone successfully connected and is downloading reset software...........

it says installation failed  please make sure battery is fuly charged and try again.... (the battery is at 84%) is that not enough?

The battery should be at least 50%,retry the process.

OMG my phone is WORKING!!!!! thanks so much guys, i have been without a phone for 2 weeks and those engineers hadnt a clue but you guys jus saved me!! LOL so grateful
