Facebook Video Playback

I cant watch a whole video on Facebook on my Z2, for some reason it throws out an error. 

Plus within 10min of using the phone it gets really hot. 

I havent tested out the waterproof factor yet as i think i have a dud phone.. 

Any help on the video issue would be great..

Seems to be working for me now. I did soft reset, hold power and volume up buttons till the phone vibrates 3 times then powers off. Power it back on and it was fixed for me.

Will monitor and post back if issue returns.

I too have this problem, and from my research it appears to be an issue with the app itself, conflicting with Sony smartphones. If you Google the problem you'll soon be aware that you are not alone. Many others have had similar problems. Facebook does update regularly, but until they notice the conflict issues the app has with these phones it's unlikely to be fixed. In the meantime I have found an app, a Facebook video downloader that does allow you to play facebook videos and also download them. Although it has a clumsy interface, it's a perfectly usable alternative.

Problem is back, soft reset did not work.

If my problem is related to wap settings shouldn't I have problems with all apps that require Internet access?

I had the same problem with my Z2 (Uk - EE netwrok) and tried all the work around suggested here without success.

Problem is now fixed witht the latest firmware 17.1.2.A.0.314

Still pissed off that it took Sony so long to resolve a problem that so many users were having accross multiple phone

I also get "unkwon error has occured" @SONY this is a new problem my Sony Z1 Tablet used to play the fb videos fine until about 3 weeks ago. BUT my Sony Experia L smartphone works 100% on fb videos. @SONY this problem is all over support forums for your Z1 and Z2 - what are you going to do about it? I'm starting to think that I should have gone the Apple route!!

I forgot to mention - clearing the data on your fb app (as SONY suggests) only works for 1 session then the problem is BACK!!

I'm am also having this issue. It's extremely annoying! I have tried all the fixes I could find on the Internet and nothing works at all. I have posted on Facebook and Sony's help app. and haven't heard anything back from anyone. Is there going to be a fix or do Sony's customers have to wait till they figure out who is to blame for the problem. If that's the case I want my money back and I'll go buy a phone that does what I need it to do.

I have the same problem with my brand new Z2: I cant see vídeos from facebook. The most desapointing is to come here and dont see any oficial answer from Sony.
