Have you tried with another headset in your phone? Does it behaves the same?

Does your phone restart if you start your phone in safe mode?

Ear phone is defective, take it to service center where they will provide a new one, if its under warranty, turning off try Repair using SUS or PCC

Hi. Thx for reply.

I plugged in other earphones in my Z1 and the same thing was happening. And when I plugged Sony earphones into Samsung Note 10.1 tablet everything was ok. So Sony earphones was ok. But now, few day later, everything is ok. Maybe this happend because I put my Z1 in the wather a day before.

Also Z1 didn't turned itself off several days.

If the headphone jack was still wet when you tried to make use of the headphones then yes this could certainly cause this problem.

The same thing happened to me. Although I was using a Z Ultra. Then I asked someone from Sony about the problem. I had it changed with another unit. I thought it was an isolated incident. It turns out it happened to others as well. It just happened on the third day I had the phone. And I never used it underwater. Now I'm using a Z1 and I haven't encountered the same problem so far. I'm sure Sony will change your unit as it's impossible that it was caused by normal wear and tear, considering it only happened a few days or weeks after you purchased the phone.
