Hi to all,
I bought a 64 gb Sony micro sd card. I installed it and after few days I received low internal memory message. When I searched closely, I realized the internal storage downsized suddenly. Why is that? Sony please help!
This is the print screen image that shows clearly that internal storage is somehow downsized. Did anyone have had something similar solved to help me now?
Thank you anticipated,
Alex
Because windows doesn't have access to the system partition. Hence 32gb total - 9-11gb OS and reserved system = the amount you see as usable data
It's not about Windows but all the Google apps managing internal storage. Among them the one I use the most is Total Commander. Just look:
More than 10 gb of internal for system. It's windows 10 or what? My God, are you serious?
I had more space on internal... Can you approve that a new factory reset will help letting more internal space available? I have too much data stored and it's not a pleasure at all to reset it every time the system have problems? And it's not the first time.
Issues like bad bluetooth, wifi, 4g interruptions are a pain regarding this device, plus other issues with camera drivear - at least. Can someone tell Sony the truth and do take care and note about these?? UPGRADE THIS DEVICE PLEASE!
Thank you anticipated.

No file manager, shows the system partition as usable data. The system partition isn't just the os, but is also where all your app core files are stored, with additional data stored in the SDcard/android partition.
I'm fairly sure, picking up any android phone post nougat now either discounts the system partition from the total storage size, or clearly shows the size of the system partition.
On my XZ2 and xz2 premium it shows system partition of 12gb, and on an S6 Samsung I've got near me shows 9.4gb system partition on lollipop. However, some apps will show my XZ2 premium only has 47gb shared storage, I know this isn't true and is just reflective of those apps not displaying non user partitions.
