WH-1000MX4: Can't connect to M1 MacBook Pro and 2020 iPad Pro simultaneously

After figuring out that the sound balance had been shifted for some reason in my MBP settings, I thought I was done with connection issues but now, for reasons best known to absolutely nobody, having connected fine this morning, I can't connect my MH-1000MX4 to both my MBP and my iPad Pro simultaneously (yes there's a reason I need to do this). Doesn't matter if I connect to the iPad first or my Mac first, once it's connected to one, it'll either refuse to connect (I'll see 'connection rejected' in settings on my Mac or 'cannot connect to MH-1000MX4. Make sure your device is turned on and in range' on my iPad). If I can manage to get it connected successfully to one, when I attempt to connect to the other, the connection to the first device will drop.

They are fully charged and I have cleared the pairing several times (as well as forgetting them on both devices)

The iPad is running iPadOS 15.2; my Mac, macOS 12.1.

I don't have any better luck with the Headphones app, either.

I have literally made no changes to either device since they last paired successfully

Any help...?

Hey,

You might need to check these: https://bit.ly/3sXykB4 & https://bit.ly/31zr9DS.
But it's always mentioning a smart phone and another device, and no mention of two apple device. So not sure if it's guaranteed, but you can give it a shot.

Cheers.
