Hello Sony Community.
My latest Sony purchase was a pair of Sony wf1000xm5 earbuds. I'm losing connection quite a lot, like in every 10 meters.
.It happens a lot, when I'm walking on the street, and the music cuts out. Yes, I use the sound quality over connection, but that can not be the issue, at least it should not be. A £250 earbuds, should work perfect. I'm not sure, if I have a pair of defected earbuds, or this is the new normal, with high tech products?
I will not ask sony support, because they ignore every messages regarding to any technical issue, or they are denying it, if they reply at all. So I have two options. Get some help here, or send them back to Sony again.
Today I'm going to use my other pair of buds, the Sony wf1000xm4, to see, if they do the same, under the same circumstances..
And please, don't insult my intelligence to suggest to, not to use Ldac and Sound quality over connection. The phone is in my pocket, or in my hand, so .distance can't be an issue either. Thanks for any input, regarding this matter. Have a nice day Guys!
Hi @Tibike, this is definitely not normal. It should work within a range of about 10m. I'd recommend checking the software version of your headphones first, is it 2.0.1? If so, try resetting & initialising the headphones: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2963/v1/en/contents/TP1000783924.html & https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/2963/v1/en/contents/TP1000783925.html
Hope this works!
