viao update not installing on vista

hi,

i recently did a clean install of vista home premium on my viao (vgn-c2z) however the update program will not install the program opens then doesnt run, can someone please help as i know that there are some good cooling updates out there as my laptop is running at approx 65 'C

Not sure about any 'cooling' updates as such.

When you say clean install, do you mean from recovery discs you created, or from retail discs?

Here are all the preinstalled utilities.

Extract them to something like C:\Utilities and then install the ones that you want. There is a particular order you are supposed to install them in but i am sure someone will point you in the right direction with that.

I don't think you can get Vaio Update to work if you change from the preinstalled Sony OEM Operating System.

You will have to download updates manually from HERE
